Following Jesus is not easy, but it is simple.
Our Discipleship Pathway is a set of five simple actions we ask all members to do; five simple actions that give God the space and time to help us follow Jesus better.
Worship teaches us what to love. We believe we are made to worship Jesus, and worship of Jesus happens anytime we turn to Jesus in surrender and love. But worship is done best as a communal act where the people of God gather regularly to pray, confess, sing, listen, and receive communion.
When God changes our heart, it usually happens in community and over time. Our small groups create the space and time for God to, slowly but surely, change our hearts. If you want to get connected to the life of our church, you need to be in a small group. What can you expect at a group? You’ll talk, and eat, and pray, and study, and serve. You’ll discover you belong.
God doesn’t need anything from us. Everything is his and everything we have is only ours on loan. God tells us to give because it is good for us, and because everything we could ever give is God’s anyways. Freely we’ve received, so freely we give.
The church is the body of Christ, and we all have a role to play. We use our gifts to serve, everyone bringing a unique set of gifts to the table. We don’t wait until we’ve got it all figured out to serve. We serve and figure it out on the way, so jump in and serve!
God is busy saving the world through Jesus and we have a role to play! So we go out to our neighbors, city, and world with courage, curiosity, and compassion, participating in the mission of God.
